BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, [Saturday, 18th November 2017] – The Attorney General's Chambers has jointly organised a workshop with the Civil Service Institute, titled  the "Legislative Drafting Workshop" at the Civil Service Institute on Thursday, 16th November 2017 and today Saturday, 18th November 2017. The Workshop is the first of its kind to be held at the request of public officers who are keen to learn and understand why and how legislation is drafted and interpreted.


The Legislative Drafting Workshop aims to educate public officers on how to read, understand and apply the provisions of the law under their purview and to give clear and effective drafting instructions.


The speakers comprised senior officers from the Legislation and Research Division of the Attorney General's Chambers namely Dyg Norismizan Hj Ismail, Senior Counsel, Dyg Hjh Norazamiah binti Hj Hambali, Acting Senior Counsel, Awg Hj Afif Daraina bin PUKDPSS Ustaz Hj Badaruddin, Deputy Senior Counsel and Dyg Norhasnani binti Tamin, Legal Officer.


The two days workshop concluded with the presentation of certificates to the participants by Yang Mulia Dayang Alice Khan binti Ahmad Khan, Legal Draftsman.
