BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Thursday, 07th June 2018 – In conjuction with Ramadhan Al-Mubarak 1439/2018, the Attorney General's Chambers held Khatam Al-Quran ceremony at the Law and Court Building, Jalan Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha to commemorate this special event.


Present as the guest of the honour at the event was the Solicitor General, Yang Mulia Haji Mohd Yusree bin Haji Junaidi. Also present Yang Mulia Datin Nurhayana Janis binti Abdullah Lim, the spouse of the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports and also senior officers, officers and staffs at the Attorney General's Chambers.

The ceremony began with the recital of Surah Al-Fatihah was led by Yang Mulia Awang Muhammad Adi Faisal bin Haji Omar followed by the reading of Qur'an verses and takhtim.


In conjuction with the upcoming month of Ramadhan, Attorney General's Chambers held cemetery cleaning campaign and recital of Tahlil which was jointly organised with Judiciary Department on 10th May 2018 at a Muslim cemetery in Kampong Limbungan, Batu Satu, Jalan Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha. The event began with cleaning campaign and followed by the recitation of Tahlil. The event was followed with the presentation of wakaf in the form of grass cutter machine and leaf blower and also other items for the use of cleaning cemetery in which presented to Building and Maintenance Division, Ministry of Religious Affair.

In order to enliven the holy month of Ramadhan this year, the Attorney General's Chambers held daily Tadarus activity throughout the Ramadhan before start daily work. Also held a special talk in conjuction with Ramadhan Al-Mubarak on 26th May 2018 at Law and Court Building titled "Amalan Bersedekah dan Amalan Membazir di Bulan Ramadhan" was delivered by the invited speaker from Islamic Propagation Centre Ustaz Haji Ismuhadi bin Haji Abdullah present by senior officers, officers and staffs at the Attorney General's Chambers.
